Rules
- No vehicles of any kind are to be used by race participants. Use of vehicles to complete to complete the race will disqualify the participant from placing.
- Participants must follow the designated route and trails. Anyone using shortcuts will be disqualified.
- Do not litter, destroy vegetation, harass animals, or participate in any other activity which may harm the environment. That means do not throw empty gel packets on the ground - only idiots do that.

TRAIL RUNNING IS A DANGEROUS SPORT. Ninety percent of this event consists of uneven dirt trails with rocks, roots, and branches including numerous steep inclines and declines. Possible ailments as a result of trail running include, but are not limited to, dehydration, heat exhaustion, ligament/tendon/muscle tears and injuries, broken bones, abrasions, lacerations, animal (including snake) bites, insect stings, etc. The distance and nature of this race requires participants to be in excellent physical condition and ability. If a person has a history of heart, lung, joint, leg, foot, or other conditions which may affect or prevent backcountry travel, it is recommended that that person not participate in trail running. Participants should be familiar with the technique and style of trail running, and should have trained for the event.
Insanity Unhinged, Nathan Burton, Caribou-Targhee National Forest, volunteers, sponsors, and other entities associated with the race will not be held responsible for injuries occurring as a result of the event in pursuance of the fact that trail running is a dangerous sport with inherent possibilities for injury.
